Our first stop of the day will be the spa town of Buxton, famous for it’s mineral rich waters.
It boasts spectacular architecture, the restored pavillion gardens with its botanical conservatory. Built in 1903 the 902 seat opera house hosts the annual Buxton Festival and is of architectual beauty. Later in the day we will board our coach for the onward journey over to Bakewell.
Perhaps best known for it’s unique and delicious pudding – the Bakewell Tart. With many tempting treats on offer – ranging from the cafe, coffee shops, bakeries, mellow stone buildings, medieval five arch stone buildings a relaxing stroll through the town or nearby Peak District national
park. All accumulating to a most enjoyable day trip.
